Nice! I thought this would be a boring post. At least the game is turning out to be a challenge! Any suggestions for ID ing these things? I thought I was going to be at the shop today but it is tomorrow that I'm heading over. Any pics I should take, things to look for?

based on that I say it not now either. that cover didn't look correct at all. and the ribbing on the case.

looks like a 420 to me, my 465 has pto covers on both sides, and i can't quite tell from your pics, but i think i only see one

I'm almost positive the top cover is cast iron not aluminum, so either 465 or 420. Damn I wish I had taken better pics.

Actually I think it is a 465. If the ribs on the side of the case are any proof, the pics on the Novak site for the 435 and 420 don't have those ribs.

By the shape of the cover and the ribs on the case I would say it is a 465. The 420 had ribs later in life but the cover is a different shape.
