I'm new to Blazers and off-roading in general, but want to pick one up to play around in and to get me to some hiking trail-heads I need to get to.

Does this look like a good deal to you?

$3500
Im am selling my 1987 blazer k5 it has a fuel injected chevy 350 and a 700r4, gets great milage for what it is. very reliable. fluids changed regularly. I am willing to trade it for a toyota pickup or 4x4 that has a straight axel up front or a jeep of equal value.

the transmission has less than a thousand miles on it and is built to withstand 500 horses

the transfercase was rebuilt less than a year ago

It has a new fuel pump and i just did a tune up

the truck its self has 120,000 miles on it

it has a 4inch lift with 35inch tires that have 75% of the tread teft

it has a new starter

new rotors and pads up front

its a silverado so power everything

almost everything works including the A/C (very cold)
the only things that don't work is the seedometer (need speedo cable), gas gauge, rear window doesn't role down (motor bad), cruire control doesn't work because of speedo

Let me know what you think please, don't think there is a lot of bargaining room on this either. I'm probably going to go check it out tomorrow, so is there anything that I should specifically look for?

Thanks,

Tim

Looks pretty clean, could be a good deal, just look for the regular stuff, leaks bondo, rust, frame repairs, etc.

Well I'm in AZ so hopefully it has been too, not a lot of rust out here, just more sun damage to paint and dashes etc.

Is there an easy way to make sure the 4x4 is working besides taking it off road? An easy way to check it on a test drive possibly?
