Great forum here... looks like everyone here knows there stuff. Anyways...

In my area there is a 72 K5 with 149K on the original 350. Rebuilt about 10 years ago, interior is ok, just about all factory. paint is good, very little rust for a new england truck (there is rust, but just not much). Asking about $4000

Sorry I don't have much more information about it, I'm not very knowegable about older trucks. I was just wondering, what do K5's usually go for in bad, good, and great condition for that year?

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Don't know?

I bought my 77 Blazer a year ago for $1800 running strong. NO rust I'm in Texas. 90k miles, interior ok, stock vehicle, I guess it all depends on where your at?

From a 2 sentence description it sounds like a good deal....

Go check out the "Cancer Support" thread in the 1st Gen Forum. That will teach you a lot about where the rust is on an old K5 like the one you're considering.......hint: even a "rust free" 1st Gen has RUST...so don't be surprised.

Beyond that, the 69-72 K5s tend to cost more to buy because they're more rare, the parts tend to be more expensive too....but almost all of the "mods" that the later trucks have, can also be done to a 1st Gen.

:usaflag:

72 is first gen, 4 grand would be a good price for one in good shape, 2-3 grand for good-poor shape, and maybe 4-6500 for great shape, and 6500+ for better than new show room shape? Am I far off guys?

Thanks guys... that just the info I was trying to get... if things go well, i'll let you know if I made an offer, and if I have a new toy.
