Is this a Hickey Skid plate?

My '71 Jimmy has a Hickey Roof Rack and I'm wondering is this might be a one of his Skid Plates? Also, looking around local trucks I don't see any with 2 cross members. Was mine once an automatic or was it just a way to mount a skidplate?

I've never seen two cross members but I like it... Until it comes time to drop the trans that is. I'm very intrigued by anything hickey

I know auto trans' are longer, just wasn't sure. The step up/down in the skid plate looks too professional to be a "homebuild".
