I saw these things while browsing thorough the last three or four pages of the ck5 classifieds. I understand what the objective is for their use but seems a bit hokey and possibly unsafe for street use. What's your guys take on the chit between the springs and the axle tubes? BTW, I have no plans on doing this.

There was a cucv on 42's that had a setup like that but nicer, forget whose it was. If I remember right his only complaint was the pimp lean

Just a little too much axle wrap and you might have a hairy situation. that thing doest look sturdy at all. Whoever thought of putting there axles on a see-saw?:eek1:

I saw that tech last time I was in JV. It was on a former F-Toy comp rig. It is a similar idea as Mrdrinksalil posted but in a different place, it is also similar to the idea Deaver Baja bushing. It is a joint that is between the perch and the spring so when the spring is articulated it does not bind but rotates. So when one tire goes up the axle rotates at that joint and the bushings of the leaf spring rotate/bind less. It allows the suspension to move a lot easier.

I spoke to the owner about it and he said that was very popular in competition rigs a few years back until everyone went to 4links. The only down side to this is the force of axle wrap can potentially snap that bolt on which the joint povits. He was running an anti-wrap system for this reason.

Hope this helps :)

can't renew membership, my wifey is back in hospital, and i been ''flying'' my pathfinder to little rock every other day, so i can't see the pic....who was that who said the pathy wouldn't do 130mph? ok ok, i posted the numbers and iirc, it was greg72 who verified it would do it by dropping out of od, i actually been driving sensible this go round tho b/c my daughters been goin w/me...been using ck5 as therapy again, and paul/can can i never thanked you for the phone call telling me to be strong awhile back/last time...back to topic of thread

edit:i saw that thing in their catalog and thought it was useless on a 4x4, but maybe ok if you have some type of anti-wrap, if not looks like that would break u joint anytime you hammered the skinny pedal!
