Is this A factory roof Rack?, Just wondering, It wont be functional to me after I lift it, So it will be up for sale soon

Looks like a Hickey rack.
Hickey was a guy that did truck mods after market in those years.
Google the name and you'll see a bunch of cool stuff he did.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like a Vic Hickey product. In the 1970's Hickey was to Blazers what Bill Stroppe was to the first generation Broncos. He actually worked for GM at one time before breaking away and starting his own aftermarket company. In 1976 he was inducted into the Offroad Motorsports Hall of Fame. Some of those parts might be worth something to someone if they are in good shape. When you take it off, look all over and under it for a brand to be sure. If you're too young to know of Vic Hickey you can Google him and learn all about the history of him and his company. Hickey modified trucks and Blazers were on a lot of magazine covers in the 70's. I remember an article in Popular Mechanics that compared the early Blazer with the early Bronco. Of course the Blazer kicked but .in every category>

Did you ever find out what kind of rack this was? I've got the one I took off of chefbears top and I'm wondering if I should trash it or not.

I threw mine in the dumpster, I believe it was a vic hickey rack. The guy that is doing the vic hickey build in the garage pmed me a while back to see if i still had it. Might want to shoot him a pm.

threw it in the dumpster!???..i'd paid shipping just to have it...but i'm try'n to start a gm truck graveyard...w/11 different trucks now and counting & who knows how many parts from stripped out junkers that went across the scrap scales.
