Is this mail order parts company any good?

Re: Is this company any good?

All of the dual stabilizer set ups I've seen do not require removal of the OE mounts. From a function stand point you really only need one (especially running a smaller tire). The multiple stabilizer kits can be both cosmetic and band aids.

Remember, the company recommending the kit for 35"+ tires is also the same company that is selling the dual kit. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Personally, I have a single stabilizer on my V3500 w/ 35's, my K5 w/ 42's and my K10 which had 44's. I have not felt the need with any of them for more.

If you're going to get dual steering stabilizers get the pink shock boots too.

I like the purple ones for the steering stabilizers personally. I reserve the pink ones for the 4 at each corner, and of course they are chrome. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Well, actually I do have the "Death Wobble

[/ QUOTE ] So, Grim answered your question as it should have been. Do a search on DW and then before spending any real money insert a couple of washers on top of the kingpin springs and see if that cures your problem. Again, unless you just want to needlessly spend money on parts you don't need, you don't need dual stabilizers.

Re: Central4x4. I have bought a few things from them. Good service, great prices, fast free shipping on the stuff I bought. A buddy of mine just bought a lift kit, a winch, and some wheels from them. All free shipping. He was very happy with them and their service. One on the wheels got scratched in shipping he called them and they replaced it right away. I think they even told him to keep the scratched wheel cus it wasn't worth shipping back.So he got a matching spare. (Maby his 3 grand+ order had something to do with it)

Re: Is this company any good?

My '85 K30 has 105K on it and never had any death wobble. It does have the wobble when braking due to warped rotors. However, I'm running a single Rancho stabilizer that mounts in the stock location and also running 35's. No problems with this setup either.
