Seems to be hard to get an answer for this but i'll try it again!

Can i put 265's on a 10 inches wide rim???

If my math is right, that's a tire just under 10.5" wide. Seems awfully narrow for a 10" wheel, definitely not much rim protection, if any.

I don't have a direct answer, but I would contact the tire manufacturer and ask them.

I'm currently running 38.5x16x16.5 TSLs on a 12" wide wheel. The maximum recommended rim width as stamped on the side of the tire is 9.75" (and thats for a 16" wide tire!!!!). If I had to do it over again I'd run what the manufacturer suggested.

I've run 35 12.5's on 6.75" wide stock steelies...also had some 39.5" x15 x15's on a set of 15 x 8's. No trouble with either.

Yes, you can put them on there... but you will get some sidewall bulge and it will be fairly easy to knock a bead off the rim. I have seen 31x10.50's on 12" rims... looks HOMO, but it can be done.
