Is it possible to swap a regular chevy truck cab over in place of the blazer cab and tub. has any one done this or know if the body mounts will match up.

yes its been done a million times.

K-5 are just a shortened pickup

what generation you talkin about though

is simple on 73-up

but 69-72 is a little tricky though

I have an 83 and I am lookimg to put a regular truck cab on the frame then shorten the frame in the rear and then build a flat bed. So the body mounts are the same and the cab will swap over.

Im about to do this too..... The front miunts are the same, you need a crossmember for the rear mounts.

I am about to do the same thing in about a week. You will need to get the rear cab crossmember from a pick-up. I have heard that it will bolt right in, but I have not tried it yet. Also what are you plans for building the flatbed? I am not sure how I am going to build mine.
