3/4 ton status
Well I got home from work tonight and went to turn the truck off and noticed a funny sound. It does not sound like a bearing I hope.<img src="http://coloradok5.com/forums/images/icons/shocked.gif"> It is more of a rattle sound like something hitting underneith. I have good oil pressure according to the guage and it did not get hot. It almost sounds like something loose but gets louder with RPM's. Being that it was after midnight I could not do alot of checking but my best guess is a torque converter bolt is loose and hitting the dust cover. What gets me on this whole deal is tomorrow was supposed to be the last day for me to drive it till the lift and axle swap is done but by the sound of it today may have been it. Any ideas outside the usual loose bolts?
Could a broken trans mount cause this? I remembered today that the truck jerked when I backed out of my parking spot at work and it felt like a mount broke. Guess it is about warm enough to start looking now so I will keep ya posted.
