i just started looking for a 400 today, and found this one 90 miles away, what does a 400 in this condition go for?

I got my th350 for $100 and my th400 for free.
I'd say $100 for a th400 ain't bad.
I think any short tailshaft (6") th400 will work for a 4wd application. The only thing is you won't be using the speedo gear on the tailshaft of a 2wd tranny... the speedo gear you'll use will be in the t-case.
