Is your K5 glovebox keyed? If so what year? I have a 78 k5 and the glove box is non locking.

The 78 I had wasn't the 89 and 91 was but the 90 suburban wasnt
Also the 84 c 30 wasnt
87 k5 is
Interesting. I wonder if there was a distinct RPO for this option.
It might be a trim level thing. For example my 84 custom deluxe has no lock
Hmm. I always thought all k5’s had lock for security because of removable top
My 82 Custom Deluxe had a keyed, the 91 silverado suburban didn't
My 84 Jimmy Sierra Classic has a keyed glove box and center console.
My 90 burb Silverado has the center console keyed but not the glove box...
I had two 1980 silverados, neither was keyed glove box
Had 85 & 86 K-5’s ( both Silverados ) and the 85 was keyed but the 86 was not.
