It’s a Jeep thing.....dang

Got it back to the house and pulled all the crap off of it. Bought a Zone 4.5 lift for it and then drove it stock for a while.
Then decided to finally put the lift on

Was going to drive it like this for a while, but I like women

After the lift with some bald 31 rollers on it

Got it back from the tire shop today. Threw some cooper 35-12.50-15’s on it

I’m going to have to trim a bit on the flares. The springs and up in reverse and catch it. The front is good though.

So far I’ve had to do brakes and rotors, replace the damper because it came apart. I had to install a new rad also. I don’t know how many of you have done a Renix closed system...but satan himself designed it.

In that first photo up there, the tires isn’t that close to the flare. It’s just an f-d up angle. The second one it the true distance.

I am sure you know this but it is pretty easy to convert to an open system. I did it on an 87 XJ.

picture of said 87 XJ; 4.5" Rusty's lift with 2" spacer; Rubicon Express rear springs with Chevy drop shackle on 34" LTBs. I miss it.

I've always wanted one of those little Jeep pickups, never could find a decent one. Congrats sir, that is a fine looking truck you are putting together

I think you should build a new one out of proper 1 3/4" DOM tube that would provide some actual roll over protection. Nice truck, always wanted to find a clean one. Made some offers in the past but never closed a deal.

So we’re going to do some trails this weekend and I figured I better look at the shitbox.

Turns out the 4wd isn’t working. That’s not a good feature to have.
Renix jeeps have a central axle disconnect instead of hubs and a vacuum switch that makes the light go on.

So here we go....

Vacuum switch was bad so I grabbed a new one at the old u-pull
