I was trying to fix the leak it my gas tank when I oppened my tailgate some rust fell to the floor, so I looked and where the hinges attach to the truck were about to fall off, whats the name of the part that I will have to replace before me tailgate flies off? the hinges are still good it's just the part that they attach to

tailpan, they run around $100 or so... Any of the sheetmetal companies will have it... goodmark, jc whitney, etc..

easiest to do the rear floor section at the same time, it's usually bad where the tailpan is anyway... or falls apart getting it out...
