The AC 60G's are decent, but do take a long time to get hot enough. The upside is they won't swell up...
That being said I have three that are dead right now, all on one side of the engine (no start)
When one was dead it started OK and was a little rough for the first 30 seconds or so. With two dead it was a little cantankerous and ran a bit rougher for a bit longer when cold. Three dead on the same side of the engine and I have a no start. It has been sitting for almost four months though and isn't quite as warm as where you are.
I'm ordering a set of Kennedy "Quick Heats". They are also constant duty like the AC 60G's, but they heat up in less than half the time. They run about $80 and ship through USPS.

Over the racket you should hear a "POW" as the plug is shot out
If it still won't come out attach vice grips to the loose plug and start the engine. Take a hold on the vice grips and push. What you are going for is a jackhammer affect. That will pound out the plug.
