Good news is my built 6.2L started. Bad news is it seems to run really rough and will die after giving it throttle. Here is one video of it starting (warm) and dying after a little throttle. Is this a timing issue? Someone on another sight suggested it could be air still in the system. It has ran for 10+ minutes. I have another video that is uploading.

Air or fuel supply interruption are about the only things that will stall a 6.2.

I'd go over each fuel line connection, double check each clamp and look for any sign of moisture.

Could just be the audio on your vid, but it sure sounds like it has a bad lifter. :dunno:

I will check out the fuel lines.

It sounds loud.

The loudness could just be timing too advanced. Are the scribe lines matched up?

Mechanical lift pump? Have you confirmed it's working correctly? If you just let it idle it stays running right?

It is electric fuel pump, but pulled off another 6.2 that cracked block. I plan on replacing, maybe sooner rather than later.

It will idle.

I cant get the video to play without cutting out and "buffering" ,not sure if its my computer or what?...from what I did hear it sounded like a collapsed lifter---if your using an electric fuel pump ,do you still have the mechanical one on the block intact and the ports "open" and not hooked up?--if you had them plugged off the push rod or rocker arm in the fuel pump can make the same type of noise....

Perhaps the electric pump cant provide enough fuel due to the return line, some wont pump enough with the return line bleeding off some of the pressure constantly..also if the return line is blocked it will stall, seeing the engine seems to re-start without having to spin it over a long time after it stalled,I doubt it was air in the lines..
