Mounted the stock rear seat in almost the factory position. The piece I welded in to bridge the frame and build the mounts for the seat is 1/4 plate. The actual mounts for the seat is 3/8 and 1/2 plate. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

The battery relocated to between the front seats. Cables are welding cable from the Airgas dealer. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Also finally got brakes at all 4 wheels. Built my own little power bleeder thing out of a 1 gallon sprayer from True Value. Had the rears bled in less than 2 minutes. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Later today, I think I'm gonna build a truss for the 14b and do a home fabbed shackle flip to finally ditch the gay blocks. Runnin out of stuff to do without having a bender fr the cage. And gears for the diffs. All it takes is money.............. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

What are the plans to protect those rear passengers are debris from the back tires? Any or screw them..let them buy a rain coat? /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

heh, I was sitting in the back seat after I finished it thinking the same thing. Not sure what, if anything, to do about it. When I get the cage built around it, I'm sure something will come to me. That basically how I do stuff, never really have a concrete plan. 15 minutes before I started working on that seat thing tonight, I had no idea what it was gonna look like when I finished. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif

Re: It\'s a 4 seater now!

more importantly what are you gonna do to prevent the driver from getting brained by a rock thrown from the swamper tread?

Re: It\'s a 4 seater now!

That would be quite the ride to be in the back seat...between having nothing keeping you in besides the armrests and having a battery a foot in front of you

Re: It\'s a 4 seater now!

It's apparant that you're going to build a cage for it, so riddle me this - why not just cut off the whole cab and cut up a tarp to use as a bikini top when it's hot out? That cab isn't doing much for structural support anyways, losing it would take more weight off and make it easier to build the cage too.

Stop already with those pornographic weld pics, you lay bead like it's the money shot... /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Re: It\'s a 4 seater now!

very nice and all but how the hell can you stand the auto darkening halmit i used one a few times at work and cant stand it, it just dosent seem dark enuff around the puddle messed me up dident like it, actualy i havent met someone that did, i guess you do.
i use a scan-o-rama, it nice has a 5"x6" #5 plate with a #10 in the center, i like it works quite well.

Re: It\'s a 4 seater now!

You musta used a cheap auto helmet. That one in the pictures cost me almost $400. Speedglas 9000x. It's clearer than a conventional hood. Crystal clear. 9-13 adjustments for conventional welding, then 9-13 low sens settings for low amp TIG welding. And it's lighter than a conventional hood. ALOT lighter.

Jason- Why didn't I buy Tony's truggy? Simple. Cause it was butt ugly. Mine won't be ugly like that. I'm shooting for something like Kens (Crlwn73) or BadDogs rig.

Evan- Why am I not cutting the cab off? Simple. Cause it's butt ugly. lol The cage I build for it will be an exo around the cab. I also want to be able to wheel it in the rain/snow etc, having a roof over your head and a windshiled in front of you are valuble things for that kinda wheelin.

JerrysJimmy- There will be a full cage around the thing. Lot's of handles to hold onto and seatblets of course. As for the battery, plans are for an Optima mounted in an ammo can (or something similar) bolted to the floor. I bought the battery in the pictures caue it was cheaper and I needed a battery at 10pmon Sunday night. Longs Drugs in Truckee baby!

Zakk- Hope you cleaned up after yourself... /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Keep in mind these are just progress pics. So no more damn nit picking you fawkers! lol!
