Got my 72 to start yesterday. Started the easiest its ever started and idled, sounded good. It was raining and the top was off so i couldnt take it for a spin to see how its running but ive got my fingers crossed that ill be able to enjoy it this summer. I really missed driving it last summer when it wasnt running good.

Congrats, nothing like firing them up after they have been torn apart for a while.
I was actually suprised that it started. Id put a new fuel tank on it so i cranked it till it got gas to the filter then stoped cranking for a min and when i bumped it again it fired right up.
I was shocked, thats whats supposed to happen, not what normally happens when ive been working on something.
