I sold my 91 K5 back in 2009 after having it for almost 10 years. I recently picked up another one. Its a 71 in pretty decent shape. And ive been collecting some parts to make it a lil more ME.

There is also and LT1 thats out of a 95 Firebird sitting infront of the cherry picker thats also going into the truck

Thanks for looking

That truck, and wheel combo is WICKED! Once it has the LT1 it will remind me of my friends blazer... Ill post pics once photobucket is done its maitnence...

VERY nice looking K-5!...surely you didn't buy that in MA?...I had two first gen
K-5's,one was a 1971 CST with a 350 4 speed,the other was a 1972 Cheyenne with a TH-250 & 350 4 bbl...miss them both,especially when I see one like yours!..and just about cry when I see what they sell for now too!..

I bought it in CT, but the PO to the guy I bough it from was from MA Wareham I believe.

I paid $125 for the NV4500 and found it in the Junk Yard behind a 4.3 TBI motor in a 1500 short bed. Im kinda thinking about somthing other that an LT1 not

If you plan to actually wheel it, Id go a different route, the optispark distributor the LT1's have is really troublesome in wet locations from what I hear. Anyone of the new LS engines would be a great option.

Either way its gonna turn out pretty cool.

i dont plan on wheeling it ever, Ive got a gay 4cyl jeep if i ever felt the need. I was leaning towards a 6bt that i could get for about 600. But now im leaning towards a LQ4....

Niiiiiice

Very Nice K5!!! I had an Hugger Orange 1st gen K5 as well man I miss that thing! go with a 6.0 you'll be happy its what I'm stuffing into my truck here in a couple weeks.

I wonder if thats the same truck I've seen a few times around my area,I am only about 15 miles from Wareham..I saw one like it a few years ago a couple of times!..I wonder if its an original MA or new england truck?--if it was, someone never drove it in winter and or garaged it all its life,by the looks of it!...as for the motor, there's nothing like a big block under the hood of a first generation K-5...:D..

I never did get one in my Blazers, they both had 350's,but my Chevelle wagon in my avatar was sitting on a '69 Suburban chassis and I put a 1973 454 in it from an Impala, and I loved that engine...I've had a 500 Caddy motor sitting in my shed since 2001 awaiting a new home, but I never had the cash to put it in any of my trucks,I came close to swapping it into my '79 Bonanza when the 250 six in it died, but I opted to keep it simple and use a 305 V8 instead..figured a big block in a 2wd 1/2 ton was kind of a waste...

It probably is, the guy in wareham sold it in 08 to the guy I bought it from. It was "restored" in 2000 or around that time

dont feel bad about being into hondas haha i role in one all the time haha all my friends drive them and if i feel like goin fast thats what i would take lol
