its getting cold, and i need a little help

my heater will work fine on low, med, and high, but when i put it on max, it goes back to low speed! any ideas? i replaced the switch and it stil does this.

If you changed the switch and still does the same then your wire that feeds the direct connection on the blower could be bad.
The thing is the switch goes through a series of resistors on one line and then in the max position switches to another line that gives full voltage to the blower.

The relay at the heater blower might be bad. Check this, I have had that go bad on several of my vehicles.
Just a guess
