It's King of the Hammers time again!

I see this is from last year. Are you guys racing again this year

Ya

I got qualified at the Glen Helen race. Putting in new transmission, new front axle with some suspension tweaks, Slightly tweaked steering, maybe some shock changes and as usual, full car tear down and prep. Should be good for another season after this.

We will have more details as things get closer but should be a good year for us.

Glad to hear you guys will be back out there. Best of luck for another great race season.

I just read that Glen Helen article in the 4 wheel parts monthly mag. Looked like fun.but wish they had results. But it did say like 10 or 12 finished out of 43

I think it was higher than that but a 50% attrition rate is common.

The Glen Helen race was so different than anything we normally do. Guys were getting it on only to find out that a four plus mile course of jump after jump tore up a lot of stuff. We are finding more cracks and issues with the car after this one race than an entire season of desert stuff.

We ran a very conservative pace that allowed us to never stop, we got passed by several guys 2 and 3 times then when the results came out we finished ahead of them cause they had to stop and change tires and fix broken stuff.

Our goal was a qualified spot only and not to prove anything. Then we went to Disneyland with the families and that was better than any day in the race car.:D

I'm looking at working four days a week at my real job and two or three days a week at the shop on the car to get things finished up. Lots to do still.
