my fathers car died on him yesterday, It cranks but wont start. It starts if you pour a little gas down the throttle body. I put the rear wheels on ramps .Disconnected the Fuel line, AFter the filter . gas started pouring out. I put the line back on. tightened it up. and the car started..

I pulled the car off the ramps. Drove around the block. I shut it off. and it wouldnt start again. I can hear the fuelpump kick on when I turn the key on

Change the filter and check fuel pressure with key on. This will diagnose whether you have a pump issue or an injector issue. From there I would put a noid light on the injectors to check for pulse when it wont start.

Also a batty thing but the TPS could be bad and erratically pegging its signal causing the injector pulse to cut out due to how the "anti flooding" operation build into most fuel injection.
