Wow its been awhile since I have been on here. Anyway, I am reading gears on the 14FF ring gear. Is it supposed to be read as pinion gear count then ring, or is the ring gear count first? I.E. .... xxxxxxxxxxxxpinion ring xxxx xxxx OR xxxxxxxxxxxxXX ring pinion xxxxxxx

Yeah that one is known but reading the code on the gears is what I am after. I tried counting and well just lost patience.

I believe it's part number, then pinion, then ring, then build date.

The last 4 numbers are build date. 11 78 for example.

What do the numbers say on your gear set?

Hey Rene!!! I got xxxxx8 41 10 xx on the first and the other is xxxxxx9 41 9 xx. Thats what I got. I know one of the two is supposed to be 5.13

8:41 is 5.13's and 9:41 is 4.56's

The last 4 numbers are build date, so on the first set it was built in October XX, the second set was built in Sept XX. The 4 numbers previous to the build date are the ring and pinion numbers.

If Drew had given us all the numbers it may have been more clear (hint hint LOL)
