What to do with my 83. I want it to be a truck, yet dont want the ability to beat on it since its so clean. Im gonna find me a set of 73-87 3/4 ton lower control arms, get a set of 88-98 ball joints, 88-91 4" lift front spindle (maybe a 6 lug rotor while im at it?) and then swap in a semifloater 4.10 rear if i can locate one. And ill put 15x8 rallies with my 32x11.50xr15 bfg a/ts.


So now the hunt is on to gather parts. I was thinking about making this truck a 4x4, but ill simply build a beater instead to play in the dirt with, and keep this truck clean like it should be. Its just to low now

You could find a fabtech lift kit for it, ive seen used ones for sale on the forums, some nice springs and what are the plans, uses?

Shes my daily driver, and will probably just be my 3 season daily driver, ill use the blue truck during the snow season. Ive seen the fabtech lift coils, but id rather just use lift spindles. Im thinking four inch should be plenty since i only plan to run 32s. Im gonna start gathering the easier parts, like ball joints, lower control arms, figure i might as well get all new everything front suspension related (minus shocks, just put a new set of those on a month ago). Then once all my ducks are lined up in a row, it will be swap time. Ill need to figure out what to do with the rear, i could possibly shackle flip it, but does anything think putting the leafs under would reduce the payload capacity? i still want to be able to haul in this truck, and although id only probably need a 2.5 lift shackle flip for the rear, i dont want to reduce my hauling capabilities.
