Anyone use a transmission adapter for there floor jack. How did it work?

I use one. Works great on an auto with a flat pan
For manual trannies and t cases, you need to either use a brace to stabilize the side due to the odd shape, or a block and a ratchet strap

I've been using this one from HF for a couple years now.

I have a homemade one for a floor Jack but it would be nice to have the adjusters to line stuff up easier.

I have one like the one pictured below--

It works fine, but a few things that I don't like about it is the fact if you dont jack the truck up first and put stands under it,you cant slide the tranny out from under the truck--and if it is up too high, the jack wont reach the tranny..so unless the truck is blocked up at the "perfect" height, you may end up dragging the tranny off the jack and out from under the truck, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having wheels on the jack...

I have found that adapter useful for a lot of other chores, like dropping a gas tank, holding a door up while you install hinge bushings, and doing a rear axle swap.. images (11).jpg

I have the samejack adapter as @diesel4me , works good for me. I agree about the overall height, it could be a PITA on a truck with less than 6" of lift. Both of the trucks I've used it on had 8" and 10" of lift so the height helped.

Yes that is the style I am getting. I can raise or lower the vehicle pretty easy.
