jam nut size on 1-ton TREs?

I need to get some big open-end wrenches so I can tighten/remove/adjust my 1 ton chevy TREs (moog). Anyone know what size the jam nuts are? I can't seem to find my caliper (need to clean the damn house!) and all I know is that they are bigger than 1"...

anyone know off the top of their head?

They are not bigger than 1". The stock ones are likely to be 7/8" from what I understand.

I haven't had mine out yet though, so I can't say for sure.

the one ton TRE threads are 1". the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton are 7/8".

He seems to mean the wrench size, not the thread size. I'd check if I had one handy

yeah, threads are an inch or so on the 1-ton TREs... Im looking for the jam nut size so I know what wrenches I need. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif guess I'll have to clean the dang house and find my caliper.. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Mine are 1-1/4" - they are the ones that fit the ORD 1-1/2" O.D. rod piece.
