Jaydens 'Junior Buggy'... [Dug'y fresh.]

Unnecessarily beefy light mounts....

I think it's starting to turn out....

Don't know if that's enough lights :surepal:, but it's a start :haha:

Oh, and go to the Home Despot and get you some pipe insulation as cage padding. Don't want him banging his little noggin.

Yep. Gonna get some, and wrap it.

There's a LOT more i wanna do to this thing.
It's all small stuff, but so functional it's ridiculous.

When it's done, it's gonna be bad-a$$!!! :D

As per lights....
I want to run 3 led spots up top, and a single led in either headlight/taillight.

The headlights are more for looks and to be markers, than anything.
The upper-deck will be the main lights.
The brakes will be just like regular brake lights, that get brighter when you step on em.

Do you know how hard it is, to not go overboard on this thing!?

Hmm. Next you're either gonna need a baby trailer, or maybe a receiver hitch hookup on that exocage, so that you can hook it onto the back on the Beast, and "tow" it to go wheeling...

(I say "tow" in quotes because the wheels mustn't touch the ground, or the DMV gets huffy...)

I already have to build a farkin trailer to haul it... :haha:
It WILL NOT fit in the bed of the Tundra, with the planned wheelbase.
Already too wide, and too long. :doah:

Trailer queen... :sign9: :haha:

It's getting front and rear recovery points/trailer strap points.
The top is getting a basket, like the xj's always have.
The rear is going to have a spare tire mount.
So, no real need for a Junior Trailer.

Maybe make one eventually, for show. :dunno:

Yeah, that's what I meant, a trailer to haul it, not a trailer for it to pull.

I have a trailer axle out in the weeds, remind me about it when you're down here. And springs, come to think of it.

Speaking of wheels....

I need to get this SOB in rolling chassis mode.
Moving it is killing me! :haha:

Sadly I don't think I have anything big enough -- certainly not in the weeds, after The Great Yard Purge Of 2011. Might have some lawnmower wheels but they're puny.

There are those HF vehicle dollies that everybody poo-poos work great for moving other sh!t. I've shuffled trannies, axles ... in fact, everything BUT an actual truck with them.

Though heck, even furniture dollies would prolly work. Just sayin'.

It honestly needs to get to ride height, at this point.
I might just build a rolling cradle, or cart, or whatever you call it.

that is awsome i wish i had a garage to do something like that for my son MAJOR props!! also i thik it would be kinda neat if you cut out the fake headlights of the jeep and added some real lights there then maybe a LED bar on top of the cage, why not go all out there only this little once

I like the spotlights better than the bars.
I have a LOT of experience with LEDs.
That said,I like spots. :pimp:

I actually drilled out the back of the headlights to accept led bulbs.
It'll be enough light.

Saw this online today and thought it was pretty cool and related so decided to share.

There's quite a few out there.
This one is going to be more buggy, than kid-hauler.

I'm gonna build a couple kid-haulers, and sell em at the Flea Market.
The Mexicans around here LOVE that ghetto sh*t....

I just welded most of the joints that were ready for it.
It's crazy how much more "stiff" the cage looks, after welding it. :D

I know it sounds crazy, but it looks SOLID.

Hey Mike, I was flipping through some old magazines and came across an article about SAE mini Baja design competitions that some tech schools compete in.......anyway you may want to look at some of the stuff they build it seems along the lines you are going and you may be able to use some ideas from them.

Here's a link to some images http://www.google.com/search?q=sae+...Lh4AOao4HYDA&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&biw=1024&bih=690.

I'm sure there's lots more info out there as well. :D

My dad built one of those when he was at GMI (now Kettering) and took 2nd place. Pretty cool :thumb:

Me and the Kid worked on the Buggy today.
Made sense being Father's Day, and all... :D

- Got 2 of the Hella's mounted.... Still need another one.
- Started the Cargo Rack.
- Got the body mounted on rubber pucks.

I'm gonna get a bunch of YFZ parts, for free...
Including Brake Components, Swing arm, Rear Shock, and a few other things. :pimp:

I was watching the YouTube videos of my sons jeeps today. Made me realize that, I get a second round of Power wheels modification coming. Heck yeah.
