JB Weld Removal - 208 slip yoke

The slip yoke on my 208 is leaking again so it looks like I'll have to mig or braze it. How the heck to I get JB weld off other than chipping/grinding?

a whire wheel on a grinder should take it right off and not do much more than polish up the metal and clean it for brazing.
