Hey,

Anyone work with JCR Offraod in Kalamazoo for fab (tube)work?
Any recommendations or warnings?

www.jcroffroad.com

They're definitely a Jeep shop, but it looks like they work on other vehicles too.

Thanks,

-Ben

Emailed back and forth with the guy about a cage this week.

They're claiming about $800 for a basic 6pt cage. Could go to $1000 depending on tube-work. Another about $200 would tie all the points to the frame....

I may have to run down and check out their work.
Any comments on these prices?

I live in Kzoo area, and can check em out if you'd like. I also plan on coming up to Silver Lake the weekend of the 30th July. Will you be around there?

Brian and Daryl are great guys... They do excelent work. mostly jeeps and yotas. Not to much of fullsizes, and they will raz the crap out of ya because of it too. My buddy is running one of there CJ SOA kits and he loves it. shoot me a pm and I can tell you more about em, maybe even meet up for a beer or something.

Is there something going on at Silver Lake that weekend? Or are you just going for the hell of it?

probably the only weekend I'll be going up this year.

I've talked to Brian over Email and he seems pretty cool.
My brother had them do some stuff for him on his Wrangler and he was pretty happy.

Now I just need to decide what I want for a cage and find time to get the '74 down to Kalamazoo for them to work on.

Jekquist, I'll try to let you know when I'm in Kzoo with it.

As far as Silver Lake, I won't be up there for another year or so as I try to get the Blazer ready.
