So i went to start bending some practice tubes on my model 3 bender and as far as i know i am doing everything correctly and it kinks everytime...like not small kinks, real bad ones. and it gets a flat spot on the outside of the bend. Its a 1.5" die and tubing and i have the follower attached and even tried lubing it, but no luck...i thought these things were suppose to be easy to use...:doah:

All that I can think of is that your not using enough lube. It's a must on every bend or you'll end up galling the follower.

What tubing or you using. 120...180??

.120 wall tube?

edit.:doah: im too slow:D

I use wd40 or whatever I have laying around. Are you sure you have the follower in the correct hole?

well i feel stupid. Tubing was thinner wall than .095" i never measured it because most of the stock i have is thicker. Went and got some thicker from the pile and it didnt kink. thanks for the help guys haha
