Is it the same as chevys D44?
I found a used cover for $20 but its on a heep.

a D44 cover should be a D44 cover no matter the make. You are talking about the diff cover only though correct?

It is possible. The bolt pattern should be the same though. It is one of those things that is hard to say without actually seeing the cover on the axle. I have seen both thin and thick D60 covers on axles.

Well,it actually go`s OVER the factory cover,it doesnt replace it like RS.com does.A cover for the cover...
Maybe I should have asked if the bolt holes for the covers are the same.

AFAIK all dana 44's use the exact same cover, so they should all have the same bolt pattern.

I have seen them in 2 different thicknesses, though I've yet to locate the rhyme or reason. The good ones are about 3/16" thick.

i got 2 thick ones for sale in the classifyeds. search my stuff.

and i have only seen 1 style 44 cover . other than thick and thin.

I have noticed that "most" front covers are the thicker ones, And the rears are the thinner ones and Jeep and Dodge even did the STUPID rubber fill plug thing and if you find a really old one it might have the breather on it
