2001 2.5 136k. 5 sp manual. Engine and drivetrain well maintained.
This thing, in the past few years, has started to really hate warm weather. Runs like a top in 60 and below, but when it gets hot, the oil pressure alarm screams at me when I turn it on after driving for a while- like say I take it somewhere- 20-30 min regular driving. Stop for a short errand. Turn it on to continue, oil pressure gauge takes a few seconds to get to normal and the warning light beeps at me. It only takes maybe 7-8 seconds to reach "normal".
I think I know why, but I would like some affirmation from you guys.
Should I change viscosity for the summer? I don't drive it very often when it's warm.

I would start with a oil pressure sender. Cheap and east to rule out. Throw a coolant temp sensor at it too. Makes a world of difference how they run. Other than that, It could be the oil pump or too loose tolerances
