I believe the chain was hooked to his hitch bar. It was kinda scary since I was doing reverse pulls, I would be ducking behind my dash as I yanked. Yes the ground was slick and it was raining.

Yes, people who constantly drink and drive, even if they are okay to drive, they will ALWAYS think they can drive. When you say always, its the time that the person is wasted drunk and sub conciously believes he can drive and drives. Well I should hope your bigass suburban should be able to pull out a light wieght jeep. I remember when my Jimmy was pretty much stock except for a 4" lift and 33" Bridgestone duelers MT and my Dad pulled a Cherokee through a river against the current. Not that big of a deal, but that took some skill /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif But this post isn't about how has done the nastiest pull because I could tell how I pulled out two chevys at the same time that were hooked together with my 383 and dual detriots screaming... ok, I'll shut up now /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And about the Alcohol, I think the story could have been just as effective if you left the alcohol part out.

Those cherokees are kinda heavy too. I had to pull out a buddies stuck grand cherokee in sandy swamp water. Within 3 minutes, the thing was down to the frame. No front tow hooks. Had to jump in, wrap around the axle and pull.

Was tough acutally to get out. Since the only "solid" ground was also sandy water.

Then again, i had a pathfinder stuck in nearly the same area- but he was a cinch to get up.
 
My buddy pulled out a Cherokee by the windshild post a couple weeks ago.
