Jeep swap

For various reasons, I am hellbent on swapping a Vortec 4200 into my '82 Jeep CJ-7. Beforehand, though, I need to make sure of a few things:

Would any 4L60E be compatible with the PCM?

Would the throttle-pedal module be straightforward to adapt to my pedal?

What options are there for dealing with the lack of a VSS?

Any other input/potential issues you guys can think of would be greatly appreciated.
