Thought you guys might like some of my pics from this weekend. This is just a tidbit. Also saw a monster Jeep with 44" gumbos split his TH350 tranny and destroy both driveshafts! Can we make some mud in TX or what? And, of course, he was pulled out by a Jimmy!!

. How did the landing come out (feel) on that last pic?

Actually, I didn't even realize I was in the air until I saw the look on everyone's face! It was pretty smooth compared to the rest of the obstacle course.

Although, the launch taught me what happens when you get mud and gunk in your tire bead!

Cool!!
Sorta reminds me of the time a Nissan 4x got stuck in a river in that pea gravel stuff. Well a Heep tried to pull him out but had no luck, the Heep's tires just spun. We were watching from our campsite and so I jumped in my K5 and pulled him out on my first try. I had too leave about 3ft of slack in the snatch strap the nailed it!! POP out cam the Nissan

That's Shiloh Ridge. It's down south of Tyler on 69. I guess about an hour south of Tyler, little ways north of Lufkin. It was a blast. I have a ton of great pics.

We are doing our big Mega Run there in March 2002. I think we have 77 rigs signed up so far. Oughtta get yours in. Last year it had a big write-up in 4 Wheeler mag (DBLAZER had a two page spread pic). They are going to be out there again. We are running an obstacle course, a mud pit, and a sand drag race. We may even throw in a log crawl. That last picture was me coming off the last bump on the obstacle course. We took I guess 6 vehicles through it to test it out. I thought I'd have a little fun at the end. It'll be fun when we do it at speed.

If you are interested, let me know. I will get you a link to the sign up page.

i was at the 'mega-run' last march..... boy, the weather was CRAPPY!!!!!!

shiloh is a lotta fun, but they need to have more difficult trails like gilmer does....

some of those holes out there will swallow a truch on 44's with ease....- actually this year a huge K5 had to be helped out of the big hole by the only other thing capable of getting it out, a grand cherokee with a blown big block on 44's...... those guys were serious mud freaks......

This year's Mega Run is going to be in a special "competition" part of Shiloh Ridge. It is where they hold their Truck Rodeos at. It is going to be awesome. You signed up yet?
