Thank you for looking. I am so close to finishing my '72 Blazer and very excited. I am selling my '73 CJ5 and had a guy offer to trade me a VERY nice '71 Jimmy. Totally stock and NO rust. Even the rocker boxes and behind the door hinges are perfect. It needs work like paint and an interior and all the exterior trim, but I think it is actually a fair trade for both.

My question is, are parts for the Jimmy and Blazer interchangeable? They looked just alike, but I want to be sure most of my '72 Blazer parts would work on a '71 Jimmy. Also, I looked a little online for replacement parts and everyone lists K5 Blazer, but very few actually specify they work on a Jimmy. Lift kits are a good example. So, if they say Blazer, does that always mean it will work on a Jimmy? Thanks.

all but the obvious body and the related parts will interchange. grille, rad supports, etc may be different, but all your chassis parts should be the same.

Yep most are interchangeable. Only things that come to mind are the front fenders on a chevy have a different (dimple) around the grill surround type trim than the Jimmy's. Grill's obviously different, some door panels and trim pieces are different but most everything else is interchangeable.

yes its hard to find specific jimmy replacement parts

Get some pics up when you can. I am interested in seeing the rig.

forward wiring harness, grille, front fenders, front bumper, rad support.

Like was said already, front clip items (fenders, grille parts) are different. Also, front bumper is slightly different. But most chassis parts are interchangeable.
