Jimmy Parts Online - Overseas Owner

Please help an overseas Jimmy owner - I'm having trouble finding basic parts, such as front axle seals, etc. for my 1983 Jimmy.

Where can I order parts online? Ideally there would be an online catalogue where I can look up the part number, and then place my order.

I've searched and searched, and I can find plenty of mods, but not routine parts.

Oh, and don't tell me to try the dealer here!!! USELESS.

I think you can order through auto-zone and they will ship. Dont hold me to that though.

I'm just curious, how did you end up with a '83 GMC Jimmy over there in the UAE? Was it one left by the US Military?

Checking out Auto Zone now - looks good, but it doesn't look like it ships overseas (wouldn't hold you to it, buddy - I'm just glad for the idea..). Ordered the LMC catalogue, and I sure appreciate forum members assistance. I'll try and see where I can get before asking. Another site which was recommended is http://www.paceperformance.com/

My truck's history is a bit folklore, but I've heard this from different sources, so either they heard the same story or it's true. Apparently one of the early oil guys brought it over new, 'cause his fat ass didn't fit in the Toyota FJ40s that were running out here at the time and then a local Sheikh took a fancy to it, and, after some leveraging (unclear how much) it was sold on. So every time I put my fat ass on the seat, I'm reminded that I'm touching bottoms with royalty... it's in pristine condition, bone-stock and simply beautiful!

most of your parts retailers are going to charge an arm and a leg to ship stuff overseas. It'd probably be cheaper to make a list of stuff you want, find a good guy online to pick the stuff up locally here in the US and then ship it to you via USPS at cost.
