Ok so the new date for running the rubicon will be the weekend of June 13th. There's no planned event going on that weekend so it should be a good time to go. Originally a few of us were planning on going mid may but due to a variety of issues that trip has been dropped. So far ive got 3 people including myself from here that will run the trail and probably 2 or 3 of my buddies so theres plenty of room for anyone here interested in tagging along...

My plan is to arrive on the 12th (friday) and camp at loon, possibly run the wentworth portion of the trail if i get up there early. Saturday and Sunday will be spent wheeling from loon to tahoe.

I think I will try to make it! My new job has me working friday - monday but I'll see about requesting the time off. I would love to make it out with you guys!

Yeah I hope you can make it!! if not I may be interested in going up on a Wednesday and doing the trail all the way through and double back.

See what you can do, would be great if you can make it.

I'll just need to get serious about gathering some spares for this trip to be ready.
That would be sweet, all the trails around me we can make into day long loops, and there are a bunch of lakes you can fish from.

Sounds good to me!

Yeah i need some spares myself...

I need to gather Belts, ign module and coil. Fuel pump, Rear drive shaft. And hopefully get the oba wired up and maybe a stero and half doors for fun.

Tube doors would be sick! Idk about no doors, that would give me an eerie feeling. I only have lap belts though as well

I should pull them out and see what I need to make them work. I bought them from a guy parting out his K5, they have some trail scars but look pretty well made. Probably need another set of hinges to make it easier to swap back and forth.

Haha yeah its a little sketch but im trailering now so its no big deal. The 5 point harnesses i have definitely help. Ill make tube doors at some point.

Yeah do it! Hinges are pretty cheap at mcmaster-carr

I wheeled with full doors, then went to tube doors. My mind doesn't understand full doors anymore. Unless I plan in advance to do snow wheeling, tube doors are always on :D
