Junk truck, nothing left-ignore this post

Hey everyone.

I'm going to be picking up a '79 parts truck very soon. It's


EDIT 6-17-01:

Cross out everything above. There was literally nothing left on the truck when I got it (not exactly like the picture...). I got the top, some glass and the window motor out of the tailgate for my truck. It will now rest in peace...

Well if you want to part it out:
I need both front fenders and inner fenders. Let me know what shipping will be to 97214 and also let me know what you'd like for pulling them. Also the grill if it's in half decent shape.

I picked it up yesterday and had it for an hour. I took it strait to a local junkyard after pulling the top, some glass, the emblems, power window motors. I never even took off the towbar until I got it to the junkyard. It was NOT at all what I was expecting.
The only parts left worth grabbing were the front 10-bolt, rear springs, and power steering box, which I think was full of water. Needless to say, I left them on when I dropped the truck at the junkyard.
Fenders: Massive holes
Seats: buried in junk (truck was apparently storage/dumpster for PO, and nothing against him, it was/is a junker).

Sorry for the post, I was really expecting much more than I got...

Well, it was free except for towing costs, so I guess I did. I got the top, tailgate window motor, and a couple real little things, but nothing I couldn't have taken off and carried home without the whole truck... $45 and a beating on my '88.
I'll have pictures of my girl tuggin' the oversized junker up soon!

5 hours of 2 MPh traffic on the Long Island Expressway (normally, a 40 minute drive). She started sending clouds of blue smoke into the cars next to me whenever I revved in nuetral (trying to lower the temp), but that seems to have stopped and the oil level is the same as the oil change I did last week. Must've been the heat, but I'm cruisin for a late 80's/early 90's 350 if anyone happens to be putting one out to the curb...

Rene, I have a lot of respect for you! The towbar was awesome, but at around 55-60, the tow-ee started pushing my tow-er around, and I had to keep slowing down... Not to mention I completely forgot about any kind of lighting...

Actually I went for long periods where I'd forget it was there...then I'd catcha glimpse of a red hood REALLY close behind me!

I built my tow bar specifically for a K5 with no front bumper. It utilizes the holes in the front frame area. It cannot slip and slide around the front of the truck. This might have been the difference. Ask Rocko, it was a tight fit in between the frame rails!
