junkyard finds

went to the junkyard today and grabbed a few parts. windstar fans, power steering resevoir for hydro assist upgrade and a fuse panel. i wanted to see what you guys thought of the fuse panel has a bunch of relays and fuses in there that i thought might be good for fog lights and the fans etc. i know people where grabbin them out of cadillacs but i thought this might work. don't know to much about them but it was only 25 bucks so i figured it was worth a shot if you guys think its useable

the relays in the box go for specific parts like the windshield wipers, or lights, etc but there are no labels as to what amp they are rated for on them. is there anyway to find out by looking at them?

Seems it should say somewhere. Relays are cheap though. At least you have a solid foundation for them.

If that box doesnt work do u know if its possible to pull the relays out and connect the wires directly to them?

Yes you can. You can get a relay socket or just standard .250 terminals

i like mine... not as many.. but i have a ton of fuses..

just have to update this cause I can't seem to find the other recent junkyard find thread.

Pissed me off today. Saw a nice 1974 2wd chevy, orange paint, with maybe a vortec motor (center bolt aluminum heads with new serpentine setup and TBI). This is a PRE-SMOG truck here in CA. Dammit, why is it at the junkyard? I guess if it was 4wd it wouldn't. Just bummed me out, thing was picked through like any other truck out there. I really feel sorry for you rust belt guys when I walk through my local yards, makes me feel bad.
