Visited Pick-n-Pull this weekend in St. Louis, MO on Hall St. ***Speedway Salvage Report after***
This just an FYI for folks in the area.
There was an '82 Jimmy diesel there and quite a few gasser Suburbans.
The Jimmy was stripped of its engine and tranny. Axles were still there and a lot of interior items. Dash pad was cracked and partially pulled off. Some engine compartment items were there... I nabbed the radiator overflow bottle + the battery tray from the passenger side.
The rear tailgate was trashed and someone smashed the rear glass (my knuckles will be forever thankful). All other glass looked good including sliding side windows. The mechanicals from inside the tailgate were stripped out, someone wanted all that power window stuff pretty bad.
I also nabbed the spare tire mount frame.
The gasser Sub's had all sorts of stuff still on them. I nabbed a steering wheel off of one of them.
Not a bad score for a couple hours at the yard. Today I hope to swing by Speedway Salvage over in IL near Gateway Intl. Raceway.
***Speedway Salvage***
First off, this place has really improved over the past 5 years. Much, much, much cleaner and well organized. They've added a LOT more gravel in the lanes and under the cars. No more sloching through the mud to get stuff
Cruised through Speedway Salvage. They had one '85 Blazer (gasser) that still had a fair amount of booty on it. The top was off but the sliding windows survived... they were missing the small windows up front (that tilt out?). Much of it's interior was there but obviously exposed to the elements. Hubs still present.
There are quite a few Sub's there still fairly complete, body parts, suspension, eng., trans., axles, etc. Saw a lot of manual hubs on these.
Shoot me a PM if there is something you want me to go back to look for.
