ive seen some discussion and i was wondering what seats yall are eunning you got from the pick-n-pull??i need to upgrade my seats soon and looking to do it on the cheap...

I forget which van, but one of the 90's model minivans have a flat floorpan which is very similar to the Chevy's. Wouldn't require much bracket fabrication. Some junk yards charge $$$ for these type seats.

I put in PRP(click) seats and I like them.

i need something that holds me in real welll...i had a set of prelude seats before and they were decent just looking in other directions now...

This is what I'm using - They are a bitch sometimes to climb in and out, but oce you are in, they hold you in place pretty well.

90-92 Toyota Previa seats fit dimensionally, are ergonomic, have folding armrests on both sides, and fold down flat, but you have to fabricate brackets.

once you are fabbing brackets, you are fabbing brackets. Get whatever seats you find comfortable. The newer chevy ones have built in seat belts.

You might want to check an Astro van. This is what mine looked like when I had it 95 Astro.

I pulled some seats out of a Tracker. It's going to take some fab work, but they are comfortable, firm, and covered in a weather resistant fabric. I'm looking forward to getting them done.

The frame on the bottom of the seat cushion fits directly over the OEM mounting brackets. I want to be able to slide the driver's seat (don't care about passenger) so am trying to figure how to get them on there so they can mount. I may just rebuild the brackets and leave both fixed. We'll see.

thanks george thats the kind of info i need..

wow can't believe someone said Tracker seats. that's exactly the seats i'm lookin for. saw a set bout 4-5 months ago but every Tracker i see is on the road. so unless i can talk them out of their seats i'm SOL

It was good score Randy. $40 for all 3, plus a whole lotta other stuff from the PNP. Every Saturday, $40 for whatever you can carry across the scales.

look for imports. more likely to find buckets. the big three has been putting benchs in vehicles too long. my seats are out of my first car. a FIAT.:D

I am looking for a set from a Ford Focus (I know Ford seats in a Gm). Anyway I have a focus and the seats are really adjustable, comfortable, and they have pretty good bolstering (spelling). They hold my chunky but in the seat really good when cornering faster than I should be. Also the bottom of the seat can be moved forward or backwards to accomidate us shorter leg folks. My second choice would be cherokee seats (XJ the older square ones, not the full size ones). They had that rocker built in to them so the seat could lowered or raised in the front. They were comfy as well. Good luck

How much did you pay?

I think $300? I found anything other than junk was going for at least that. Could be a different market up here though. In this condition these are usually going for $450 to $550.

if craigslist or local ads are good in your area, avoid pick and pull type places. I paid $500 for my set of factor 95-99 buckets at a recycler.....ouch.

CL is a great idea. There are always deals and you find some if you are patient and keep looking.

I was looking for seats before I recovered my PRP's. I found a full set of leather/heated/electrical seats from a Range Rover. 2 buckets and a rear seat for $250.00. They were like new and in the right color on a local CL. I thought about it too long and missed getting it.
