Down the highway from me there is an older fellow with a little farm, and one beautiful truck.
About 4 or 5 years ago me and my dad were going to go out with our old Cherokee. We were getting gas in town, and this gorgeous white and orange flatbed K20 pulls up to the pump across from us, we start talking to the guy and we find out that its a 79, with a 292 I-6, 4 speed, and 4.56 axles. We talk about this truck for a while, and forget about it. On our way back to highway, we come around a corner there was that same guy and the same white and orange Chevy stuck on an access road to his pasture. We pulled him back to the road. We start talking to this guy about this truck again, I mention that is was quite a good looking truck, White with orange inset, (opposite of normal), West coast mirrors, cab lights, white steel wheels, factory hubcaps, no visible rust, He says it could be mine, and me, being 14, say absolutely. Well turns out he had the title in the glove box, but my dad tells him that we don't need anymore old trucks, and we go on our way.
I had pretty much forgot about this truck, but today I went by his house, and there was this white and orange Chevy sitting next to his house, and it got me thinking about it again. Wonder if I could still take him up on his offer?
Just thought I would share a neat story.
