Picked up 91 GMC Jimmy the other day. Within the last six weeks, the previous owner added a 4 Inch lift with 35 inch 12.50 terra grapplers. If I dropped the tire size to a 33 inch, what would be my overall drop? Would I get almost two inches lower? Also, will the suspension typically soften with time, very stiff right now. As it "breaks in" will it also contribute to a slightly lower hieght? I guess i am trying to fins out how to drop it anywhere from one to two inches without actually removing the lift (BTW .. it's all springs) ordoing any major suspension mods?

Thanks

You'll only lose 1" switching from a 35" tire to a 33" ... yes, it's 2" (nominally) diameter, but only one of those is below the spring line, i.e. the axles :)

Springs do break in, but typically over a length of years. Lift springs from different brand ride different, but many are awful stiff, yes.

Only way to shrink it right is gonna be to change springs.
