My question is this what do you guys recommend for the paint procedure and any brands would be helpful too!

It went in the box warm. Maybe it came out of the box still warm.....

Paint procedure, I'd wipe it down with an appropriate solvent. Thinner, acetone or alcohol or the like to remove oils and finger prints and such. Prime and paint.

I'm a picky bastard; I'd sand blast it, prime, then paint:D

All my little parts and pieces are being sand blasted, primed, and painted... prep work is the key to paint holding up.

Got to say, that is a pretty sweet cover.

Krylons hammered paint goes on real thick and is tough as sh!t. With a good cleaning and priming its bullet proof. Kert is actually the one who turned me on to it.

X3 hammertone. I also like to use engine enamel on everything. Unrelated, my two cats love appliance mags and rally beauty rings :D

So hammertone it is! any idea on where to purchase i live in WA north of seattle im doin light searches on google but nothin is turnin up would it be at like a schucks? thats our local car parts store or is it a specialty paint?

Powder coating LOOKS just like paint. But it is A LOT more durable.

A powder is sprayed on a part and then it is baked. Works out great.

Let me know if you want to talk about it some.

ya id love too man! let me know some details on what i gotta do! whenever i see powder coated gear it always looks so glossy and durable and that is what i want too!
