O.k. guys....listen up.....here's a valuable tip for you all.
Next time you get a speeding ticket where points will be deducted, try this....it works in every state.
Let's say you get a ticket and the fine is $ 79.00... you send in like $ 81.00. See, they can't leave it like that, they have to send you a check for the difference..in this case $ 2.00.... DON'T CASH THE CHECK ... they can't process your ticket any further to deduct your points if this isn't completed. Do you see what I'm saying ? Of course you pay for your fine, but no loss of points. It worked for me, I saved myself 6 points from being taken off my liscense.

Ive only ever got warnings when gettin pulled over. They were pretty cool about it. The first time was in my 87 k5 for doing 41 in a 25 and he gave me a warning and the 2nd was in my celebrity (it was my car in between trucks) for being in a park after dark, good thing he didnt see me pretending to be bo duke down in the dirt parking lot. You get points and a fine here in nj for a ticket.

Here is a story.
A few days ago, i saw on the news that a guy got hit buy a car and flew more than 200 feet. At around 2 am, a bmw, jaguar and a porsche boxter were racing on a street. The were going around 150 m/h. The guy was walking accross the street when the porsch hit him. I would say this was the guy who was walking falts too. How could you not hear 3 sports cars racing at you at over 150m/h? Anyway the guy was instantly killed. I have nothing against speed, I just thaught I'd tell everyone this story.

Buddy of mine from High School has a 1973 AMC Javelin AMX with a 360/4 barrel/slap stick tranny in it. Whizzed by a cop on a hill doing 142! Cop pulled out, and since about 3 miles ahead there was a 90 degree curve, my buddy stopped. First thing the cop said was, "why the hell did you stop, I'd have never caught you!" Yesterday I found out that a Dodge Dakota 2wd with a 318 V8 has a governor that kicks in at 100mph. Today I learned that Chevy Venture minivan's governor kicks in at 106. Lesson here? Don't ever buy a car from Enterprise Rent A Car, because I may have driven it. Later.

Cool, I just worked my last day as a Police Officer. Spent the 8hr shift at a concert at the park making sure no kids got lost. Real tuff duty; on the bicycle. Sometimes it's cool being a bike cop. Got to see the "Wilkersons" for free and talked to some good folks plus got paid. Start a new job July 10 as a Sheriff Deputy, really looking forward to it. No more bike cop chasing underage drinkers. Despite what some (underage) people may think, that does get old.

the fastest i have ever been in the chevelle is about 145. this is calculating my rpms, ratio, tires dia...etc. this was at 6000rpm. the motor is built for a 6500 redline but at above 130 the steering gets kind of light. need to get wider tires/better springs/better shocks/lower car/overdrive tranny/killer stereo...i can on forever...
i do not encourage speed but am a speed freak myself, i guess that makes me a hypocrite.

No cool cops over here.
If the county needs money they fu(k you all day long.
They like launching speed limits to the highways for no reason and be sure they do radar controls only in the night when there is not big traffic, so they have a chance to find at least a few speeding people.
But these cowards will not stop you to check on alcohol (which would be a good opportunity) they just take pictures and send you the bill.
But we started to fight back, 9 cops killed in their radar trucks last 2 month, yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhh.

Just wondering what kind of police cars you used in the US?
Highway police over here uses stock looking BMW, Mercedes,
Audi or Opel, yeah some Porsche as well, but all of them
are good for appr. 170mph. No chance to get rid of them.

I was riding with my neighbor out in west Texas where the roads are extremly long, straight, and flat in his '93 Dakota going about 125. We were going at that rate for awhile when a state trooper pulled out of the bushes and quickly caught up to us(he was hauling a$$) I was scared sh!tless when these these two guys got out of the car, they were HUGE! Well here in Texas the cops dont care what kind of car you have they're gonna give you a ticket anyway they can. We got a $200 speeding ticket, $30 for changing lanes w/out using a blinker, and a $20 one for a broken tailight.

That is fairly the same price level we have over here, i just have to add another $40 for not being seat-belted, lol.
Plus up from 25mph+ speeding your dl will be on vacation for 3 months.(Think that's the main reason why 9 cops got shot last 2 month)

Most cop cars are Crown Victorias since Chevy stopped making the big body Caprices. That being said the vast majority of cops going over from the Corvette engined Caprices to the Crown Vics are finding them way underpowered and sluggish. A lot of the municipalities are looking for other things. In Michigan they now have "Super Troopers" 4 door 2wd Tahoes with a beefed suspension and a more powerful 350 in them. Also heard about them testing 305 powered Astro vans. Have seen Camaros, Mustangs, and even a few Corvettes used as high speed highway chase vehicles.

Most here are Crown Vics and there are some explorers and expeditions. they also have some maroon crown vics that you have to watch out for but I slow down for just about any crown vic now because there are so many unmarked ones.

Most of the patrol cars here in western NY are Crown Vics but I've seen a couple new Impala's around. Like Biggray said, the pursuit cars are VERY fast camaro's. I saw a Ferrari 308 trying to outrun one on the Thruway. The Ferrari passed us doing about 140, thirty seconds later a Camaro went by and 10 miles later they were both on the side of the road with the Ferrari driver in cuffs.

I found out that the front end of a 98 Ford Contour will jump about 6" in the air when it's slammed in drive at 4000 rpm's! It does the same thing when it's red-lined in reverse then dropped into drive. I like rentals too. Mine was from Hertz.
