I just picked up this 91 suburban. It is in really nice shape with only the few rough spots. Immediately though, it needs a complete exhaust and rear brakes. Anyone have a line on where to get a decent dual exhaust system at a reasonable price? Also would like to get like a 2 inch lift kit.

Thanks!

I don't know of anyone who makes an out of the box, dual exhaust for these trucks (especially Burbs) anymore. What kinda lift you lookin for?

Walker/Dynomax used to make exhaust kits that bolted to stock manifolds, but they may have dropped them as years went by..

Nice 'Burb... like it.

Around a 2”; prefer all spring.

If you weren't across the country I have a 2" superlift kit I'd deal on (Blocks in the rear kit)

I'm looking for an exhaust. LMC has a complete dual system for $249. Problem is it says only fits up to 1987. Any reason it would not fit my 1991?

I don't remember any difference between the two years that makes it not work.

Check manifolds between 87-91...

That is the only real potential difference, and they likely are the same...

Alot gets typo'd when considering the trucks (excluding r/v 1 tons) changed in 88, people (and companies) forget the k5 /burb / and some 1 tons were still squares through 91...

Maybe the early 5.7 have a heat riser on the passenger side. So the pipe connecting to the manafold would be NG on TBI trucks

I got to the point that for most all parts I just searched for an 87 when I had my 88 burb. Parts places all seem to mess that up.

For an exhaust kit, check a shop for custom bent first. I've had a few 2" dual front to back systems done here for under $300. May be worth it for Time and ease purposes....

Didn't GM start using those tubular "factory header" type exhaust manifolds in the later 80's ?...seems to me I recall my friend's truck around that vintage (86 ?) had them...maybe their outlets are different than the cast iron manifolds ?..I haven't seen of worked on enough of the later square bodies to be too familiar with every detail..

My 90 had cast manifolds...

Only "tubular" manifolds I've seen were on 'vettes and then the special BBC ones that I think @skunked is using... P30 ones or something

My 86 3/4 ton parts truck I got from a member in CO has the SBC tubular manifolds that appear stainless and factory? His grandfather was the original owner. Can post pics tomorrow, if it would help clarify?
