The original review thread is over in the Advanced Preview forum, which seems to be defunct now. https://ck5.com/forums/threads/10-y...-coating-full-body-paint-review.180790/page-2

Just hit the 10 year mark on my Speedliner truck bed coating, full body paint job. It's been here with me in the Imperial Valley, CA for the last 6 years. Real harsh UV conditions. It's held up really great.

The single issue that I have had has been with the window seals. The seals don't seal up too well against the rough texture of the coating. All it needed to fix was some patience and RTV.

From my earlier thread in the preview forum, I definately would not go with a roll on or a an off brand product if you are going to do the whole vehicle. LineX or Speedliner, with the UV additives is the way to do it.

This is July, 2006.

I remember when you did that. I can't believe it's been 10 years, and it does look good!

Nope, not defunct, still there.

I noticed it wasn't getting as much traffic is all, plus I didn't remember if it was open to the non-CK5ers who might be "googling" something like this. I love it when I run a search in google and CK5 is the top reply.

Now that I have the article section finished, I can add some more articles from the preview forum... I just ended up spending time on the dark theme instead. Always something.

What happened to the soft top?!?!?!?! Wow, I remember the original thread. Truck looks great!

Soft top didn't quite make it ten years. It was leaky and it's effect were starting to take a toll on the sheetmetal.

That is cool,it has held up that long so well...nice to see it was worth the extra money to get it done professionally..

I wonder why this type of product is not used on house roofs ?..
I would think it would adhere to bare plywood as well as steel, maybe even better..if it holds up to UV rays that well,I bet it would make a good long lasting alternative to crappy asphalt shingles...

I find it strange there are so few options available for roofs--about all you can get is shingles, metal,or rubber roofing..I bet the industry knows this stuff would work good, and kill their bussiness ,so they dont offer it...
