Just how much money have you dumped into that GM Truck?

11 pints of blood, 5 oz of flesh and my soul...

ive got around 10k and that includes what i paid for her...but im going to do a frame off on her so will be spending a lot more...

Well I bought mine for 900. Pretty much rebuilt everything. About 1500 in that. Haven't even driven it yet. And I will easily put another 2-5k in it next year. Haha.

1988 K5 Blazer,
w/ 6" lift, 35's, 4.10's, tranny cooler, GM crate 350 (20k, mi.). - $3,000

Dealership gauranteed, Tranny Rebuild - $800
Dealership gauranteed, T-case Rebuild - $300

New hoses, plugs, plug wires, seals, etc. - $150
TBI Chip from Brian Harris @tbichips.com - $90 (shipped.)

(20 cans) Krylon fusion+ paint supplies.- $130
Headliner,Dash liner, tint, seatcovers. - $70

Tach., Stereo, Stereo equipment, Fog lights.- $300
2008 GMC Kodiak benchseat, w/ memory foam. - $120
Shorty headers + exhaust components. -$400
MSD Ignition system. - $500

Total = $5,860.

Now, if you add every stupid fuse this truck has eaten,
we rapidly approach the $5,900 mark.

I could see this truck costing me $20k, before I'm "done."

Sheeit, I already have $8k in my quad. (including purchase price.)

I have no, clue but if I had to guess I'd say over 100,000 over the last 12 years or so maybe more if you count all the horse trading and rigs I bought and sold to make money for my projects.

but its healthier than a Booze or Drug habit.

I have no idea, :dunno: and pretty sure I don't wanna know! I have owned my K20 for 18+ years and have built/rebuilt everything several times.... I have $5500+ in the D60 alone! :doah:

Mt, I'm there with ya on tha d60...initial cost was $1800 from a shop in cali then $650 for detroit plus bearings seals rebuild kit the 1st go round so that's around $2600 then rebuilt it 2yrs later cuz truck sat for round 8 months with blown motor, that was $2700 then I did 35 spline & diedenbear knuckle upgrade a few months ago so that's around another $2000...so I'm around $7300 in it...man this is an expensive hobby...worst part is I have to pay a shop to do it cuz I don't have time or place to do it myself...I figure another $10-$15000 and I should b about where I wanna b...lol

No sir...what started as a 3" lifted '90 k5 on 36's for $2500 turned into a over $30000 hobby worth $6-7000...lol, could b worse...
