Just incase there are any confusions about pump octane grades

octane booster usually also includes fuel stabilizer, injector cleaners, and other additives not found in regular fuel. the octane boost would be probably very close to the 4 point difference from regular unleaded to premium.

IIRC octane booster works by tenths of points, so if it says its raises it by 10 points its actually only raising it from say 87octane to 88 octane. Dont know if its true or not, but I do remember reading/hearing that awhile back.

Yes this is correct

There is also no standard at all

did not know that... sounds more realistic though.

gotta say though, im a believer in the effectiveness of additives. I havent run a gasoline car myself in a few years, but add 8oz of power service diesel additive to every tank in the jetta, and 16oz in the Blazer, they blow less black smoke, get better mileage, run smoother, start faster, and overall perform better. so not all of em are snake oil.
